Outdoor environments for neurodivergents and aural divergents
Goldsmiths University of London is looking for volunteers to take part in an in-person or online interview exploring people’s experiences of outdoor urban acoustic environments.
Can you help?
Mattia Cobianchi, a PhD student at Goldsmiths University of London is looking for volunteers to take part in an in-person or online interview exploring people’s experiences of outdoor urban acoustic environments.
Who can help?
Mattia is looking to speak to people living in Sussex, especially within the Brighton and Hove city council area, and who are fluent in English.
People who identify as neurodivergent or auraldivergent (hearing aid users, people living with tinnitus etc) are particularly encouraged to apply.
How can I help?
You will be invited to attend an online or in-person interview, about one hour long, at a time convenient for you, that will take place between August and September.
The interview aims to explore the experience of outdoor urban acoustic environments in terms of social interactions, sense of safety, the sense of agency over the environment, and conflicts or disagreements that arise within a place because of noise or sound.
Will I get paid for my time?
Participation is voluntary, and there is no payment.
How can I register my interest?
Please get in touch if you are interested in participating or have any questions about the study at email@example.com
This project is funded by the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) through the Consortium for the Humanities and the Arts (CHASE) Doctoral Training Partnership, and the CHASE Collaborative Doctoral Award scheme. Project support is provided by the UK Noise Abatement Society.
