Tinnitus UK is proud to announce its role as a Strategic Partner of the 4th World Tinnitus Congress (WTC) and 15th International Tinnitus Seminar (ITS), taking place in London from 30 June to 2 July 2027.

This landmark event marks the first time the World Tinnitus Congress will be hosted in the United Kingdom. Building on the long history of the International Tinnitus Seminar, the 2027 edition will be the most comprehensive and inclusive gathering in the field to date. Guided by the theme “From Mechanism to Meaning: The ABC of Tinnitus”, the congress will integrate Auditory science, Behavioural understanding, and Clinical innovation, bringing together world leaders in ENT, audiology, neuroscience, psychology, and patient advocacy.

Why this matters for people with tinnitus

Tinnitus affects around 10 to 15 percent of the population, and for many it is more than just a sound. It can disrupt sleep, affect concentration, contribute to anxiety or low mood, and put pressure on family life and work. For some, tinnitus becomes a deeply distressing and isolating experience.

Tinnitus UK has always championed the voice of people living with tinnitus, working to raise awareness, improve support, and ensure that effective help is available to everyone who needs it. Our partnership with the WTC ensures that the lived experience of tinnitus will be firmly embedded in this global dialogue, alongside cutting-edge science and clinical expertise.

A programme shaped by science and lived experience

The 2027 congress will feature 11 scientific tracks, led by internationally recognised experts. These tracks span topics such as neurophysiology, psychological mechanisms, cognitive behavioural therapies, audiological and medical interventions, and somatosensory factors. Alongside these, the congress will include sessions designed to amplify patient perspectives and experiences, ensuring that the human impact of tinnitus remains central.

Tinnitus UK will contribute to the programme by helping shape patient-focused sessions, sharing insights from our members and volunteers, and working with international colleagues to identify common priorities for care, education, and policy.

Building practical outcomes

The WTC will not only showcase research and clinical advances but also act as a springboard for action. Through the Post-WTC Action Consortium, partners will collaborate on practical outcomes that can improve care long after the congress closes. Areas of focus will include service pathways, policy advocacy, and patient access to evidence-based interventions.

Share your ideas

If you live with tinnitus and have ideas for topics, sessions, or priorities that should be addressed at the congress, please email the Conference President, Dr Hashir Aazh, at [email protected]. Your input will help ensure the programme reflects real-world needs and experiences.

A united effort

We are proud to stand alongside other partner organisations including the British Society of Audiology, RNID, ENT UK, the International Society of Audiology, the International Federation of ORL Societies (IFOS), the American Academy of Audiology, the American Auditory Society, the European Federation of Audiology Societies (EFAS), the British Academy of Audiology (BAA), the Association of Independent Hearing Healthcare Professionals (AIHHP), and the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists.
