We are excited to invite submissions for poster presentations at the upcoming Tinnitus UK Conference 2025, taking place on Friday 19 September at Leonardo Hotel Birmingham, and online. Hosted by Tinnitus UK, this conference brings together researchers, clinicians, and people with lived experience to explore the latest developments in tinnitus research, treatment, and support.

Poster Submissions Are Welcome From:

  • Undergraduate and postgraduate students

  • Early-career researchers

  • Clinical practitioners

  • Professionals and academics working in tinnitus or related fields

Suggested Topics Include (but are not limited to):

  • Mechanisms and models of tinnitus

  • Advances in tinnitus diagnosis and assessment

  • Clinical trials and interventions

  • Lived experience and patient-centred research

  • Public health and awareness initiatives

Types of poster submission

  • Short Paper

    This is an oral presentation within one of the Short Paper Session during the Conference, consisting of a 5 minute presentation and 2 minutes for questions (total of 7 minutes). If possible please share your presentation before arriving in Birmingham.

  • Talking Poster

    Talking Poster presentations should be 2 minutes, with an additional 1 minute for a question from the session moderator (total of 3 minutes).

    The Talking Poster sessions will take place during the lunch breaks.  No PowerPoint slides are required, you will be presenting alongside your Talking Poster on a screen.

    We have created a template to assist with formatting your Talking Poster. The Talking Poster template can be found here. Your Talking Poster should be saved as a .pdf and uploaded. Please use this template to produce your Talking Poster, feel free to change the section headings to suit your abstract. If you choose not to use the template, please ensure that your Talking Poster is portrait format.

  • ePoster Guidelines

    For ePoster display no PowerPoint slides are required, the ePoster will be on display throughout the Congress and online via the Congress App.

Please use this template to produce your ePoster, feel free to change the section headings to suit your abstract. If you choose not to use the template, please ensure that your ePoster is portrait format.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Submit an abstract of up to 150 words to be shared in the programme

  • Include: poster title, author(s), affiliation(s), and contact email, stipulate which type of poster session you are applying for

  • Format: PDF using the template

  • Submit via email to events@tinnitus.org.uk

Key Dates:

  • Submission Deadline: Monday 4 August 2025

  • Notification of Acceptance: Within 7 days of submission

  • Conference Date: Friday 19 September
