Tinnitus UK Partners with Download Festival 2026

We’re excited to announce that Tinnitus UK will be attending Download Festival 2026, marking our first on-site collaboration with Live Nation and one of the UK’s biggest music festivals.

This partnership is an important next step in our growing work with the music industry and builds directly on the success of Tinnitus Week 2026, which reached more than 40 million people through a national campaign focused on hearing health, live music and prevention.

For decades, tinnitus and hearing damage have been closely linked to music, festivals and live events. Yet conversations about hearing protection and long-term hearing health have often remained in the background.

We believe that can change.

By attending Download Festival, we’re taking that conversation directly into one of the world’s most iconic live music environments.

Bringing Hearing Health to the Heart of Live Music

Throughout the festival, we’ll be creating artist-led content focused on hearing health, life in music and practical ways people can protect their hearing without compromising the live music experience.

The content will form part of our ongoing awareness and prevention work, helping music fans understand how to enjoy live music safely while protecting their hearing for the future.

Building on Existing Accessibility Measures

Download Festival already demonstrates a commitment to accessibility and audience wellbeing through initiatives including:

  • British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation services
  • Hearing loops at box offices and information hubs
  • Guidance encouraging hearing protection for younger attendees

Our involvement builds on these foundations and reflects a shared belief that everyone should be able to enjoy live music safely and confidently.

Why This Matters

Tinnitus Week 2026 showed there is a huge appetite for conversations about hearing health within the music community.

Musicians, industry professionals and music fans engaged with the campaign in significant numbers, helping us bring hearing health into mainstream discussion in a way we haven’t seen before.

Attending Download Festival allows us to continue that momentum, working directly within one of the world’s most respected music festivals and alongside Live Nation to promote hearing health in a positive, engaging and artist-led way.

As Lewis Budden, Marketing Manager at Tinnitus UK, explains:

“Tinnitus Week 2026 showed that there is a huge appetite for conversations about hearing health within the music community. The response from musicians, industry professionals and audiences was incredible.

Attending Download Festival is a natural next step for us. It allows us to continue those conversations directly within one of the world’s most respected music festivals, while working alongside Live Nation to raise awareness of hearing health in a positive, engaging and artist-led way.

This is about helping people enjoy live music for longer, protecting future generations of music fans and ensuring hearing health becomes part of the wider conversation around wellbeing in music.”

Looking Ahead

By working with festivals, artists and music audiences, we hope to increase awareness, encourage prevention and ensure more people know where to turn for support if they need it.

For Tinnitus UK, Download Festival marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in our relationship with the music industry and a significant opportunity to place hearing health firmly on the national stage.
