Training and Events from Tinnitus UK in 2025
The 2025 programme of training and events for professionals supporting people living with tinnitus
Tinnitus Awareness (for Psychologists & CBT-Accredited Therapists)
This specialist awareness course will provide professionals with a robust understanding of tinnitus and how it may present in therapy. The course explores how tinnitus-related distress can be conceptualised within existing CBT models, and, considers the relevance of ACT and mindfulness approaches for long-term adjustment. It highlights the management of comorbidities (such as anxiety, depression, and insomnia), adaptations for more complex cases, and the importance of ethical referral and collaboration within professional accreditation frameworks. Through case studies, group reflections, and interactive discussion, delegates will leave better equipped to recognise tinnitus-related issues in therapy, and to support patients within their existing CBT practice and referral pathways.

Counselling for Tinnitus Skills
Unlike our broader Tinnitus Adviser Training course, this one-day programme places counselling skills at the forefront – incorporating your prior tinnitus knowledge to best support people with tinnitus. This makes it the ideal course for healthcare practitioners, audiologists, hearing care professionals, and support staff who already understand tinnitus but want to strengthen their ability to support clients on a deeper, more person-centred level. The training introduces essential counselling principles and demonstrates how these can be applied directly in tinnitus care. You’ll gain insight into person-centred and cognitive-behavioural approaches, exploring how these frameworks help create supportive conversations that validate clients’ experiences, encourage resilience, and foster empowerment.
