In a bid to improve our offer for Tinnitus UK members, Tinnitus UK are delighted to host tinnitus expert webinars, held live exclusively for members.
Join us for a practical webinar with Robin Guillard, a tinnitus & Sleep neuroscientist and president & co-founder of Siopi. Robin will present his recent findings on sleep-induced tinnitus loudness variations and why sometimes those living with tinnitus describe that sleep can act as an on-off switch.
This event is FREE for Tinnitus UK Members – don’t miss your chance to gain fresh insights and ask your questions to the experts!
Robin is a young researcher focused on the interactions between tinnitus and sleep, as well as tinnitus heterogeneity. His journey began as an engineer, which led him to become an entrepreneur passionate about neuroscience. Eight years ago, Robin launched his first startup, Zeta Technologies, aimed at alleviating tinnitus. He conducted a clinical trial to evaluate their solution, but unfortunately, it did not yield spectacular results, and so he decided to discontinue the project because he didn’t want to sell a placebo. This experience opened Robin’s eyes to the vast amount of knowledge still to be uncovered about tinnitus. He realised that his efforts would be better spent on research to develop long-term solutions rather than pursuing short-term, poorly supported options. Consequently, Robin embarked on a PhD, which he recently completed, and he is now a postdoctoral fellow. To further contribute to helping tinnitus patients, Robin co-founded Siopi, a mutual help community designed to enhance efficient support among tinnitus patients while also accelerating research by collecting epidemiological data and providing information on ongoing clinical trials.
