Urgent fundraising appeal: Help secure the future of Tinnitus UK
Tinnitus UK is urgently appealing for financial support to secure its future so it can continue to provide essential services to the tinnitus community. With mounting pressures from the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, the charity faces an unprecedented funding challenge that threatens its ability to operate.
Your support is critical
“We urgently need your support to secure the financial future of Tinnitus UK,” said Dr James Jackson, a member of Tinnitus UK’s Scientific Advisory Board. “Please donate now so that, together, we can continue to help our tinnitus community in their struggle for silence.”
Every day, Tinnitus UK spends £2,542 providing free support to individuals affected by tinnitus. Since the start of the pandemic, the charity has worked tirelessly to maintain its vital services, but the financial strain is becoming too great. “If we cannot fill this funding gap, there is a very real prospect that we would have to close our core services,” Dr Jackson warned.
A message from Tinnitus UK’s leadership
Alex Brooks-Johnson, Tinnitus UK’s newly-appointed Chief Executive, echoed this urgent call for action. “I have come to Tinnitus UK at a moment of significant crisis, but also at a time of significant opportunity to shape our future. We have spent more than we have been able to raise since the pandemic began, and we now need to ask our community for urgent financial support.”
Alex, who has lived with tinnitus for over 11 years, understands the debilitating nature of the condition. “No one outside the tinnitus community will come to our aid—this charity exists solely for our community, and we need your help now more than ever.”
How you can help
Tinnitus UK is asking supporters to make a personal donation to help navigate this troubled time. Any gift, of any size, is vital and will be very gratefully received.
