About the group

Aldershot and District Tinnitus Support Group was originally started for patients in March 1992. We believe that when tinnitus is first diagnosed, the best person to contact is someone with experience and understanding from a local group. Some people are still told that “nothing can be done” and this often leads to a feeling of isolation or depression, which is helped by contact with others in a similar situation. Quarterly newsletter also contains items of news and relevant information on tinnitus.

We have a speaker or presentation from a person of interest at each meeting. We do not always talk about tinnitus but hope the meetings are interesting enough to distract from hearing or listening to people’s tinnitus. We have an outing in July instead of a meeting at Rowhill Nature Centre. Family members are welcome.

When the group meets

Every 2nd Wednesday of each month, 1.30pm – 3.30pm, except July for our summer outing

How to find out more

Firstly make contact by email or telephone with group contact, Jacqueline Hocking or turn up at Rowhill Nature Reserve.

From experience in most cases the enquirer needs a chat if they need support or answers whether attending a group meeting is appropriate or not. We would then send them a group leaflet and current newsletter.
