Claims for Levo®

It is claimed that Levo® relieves the symptoms of tinnitus through the process of neural habituation [1].

What is the treatment?

Personalised therapy sound delivered via iPhone and earbuds whilst patient is asleep. Used for 90 days initially [1].

What are the downsides of this treatment?

Sound therapy is generally regarded as safe. As the treatment is only available privately, cost may be an issue.

Has there been research into this treatment?

There have been a very small number of studies investigating this device.

What does the research say?

Using the device shows a greater reduction in tinnitus loudness and greater reduction in TFI (Tinnitus Functional Index) scores than other forms of sound therapy [2].

Therre is little independent evidence of the effectiveness of the Levo® Therapy System.

We suggest talking to your doctor about the potential benefits and side effects of using Levo® compared to other forms of sound therapy.
