Tinnitus UK partners with Boots Hearingcare
New partnership will help more people experiencing tinnitus find independent information, support and local communities
Tinnitus UK has announced a new partnership with Boots Hearingcare to help more people living with tinnitus find trusted information and support when they need it most.
From September 2026, Boots Hearingcare will begin signposting people experiencing tinnitus to Tinnitus UK’s free support services, including its helpline, website and local tinnitus support groups.
With Boots Hearingcare seeing more than one million people with tinnitus each year across almost 500 stores throughout the UK, the partnership provides an opportunity to connect people with support at a time when they may be looking for answers and reassurance.
For someone who has recently developed tinnitus, knowing where to turn can make a significant difference. Tinnitus can be confusing and distressing, particularly when people are unsure what the condition means or what they can do to manage it.
Through the partnership, Boots Hearingcare teams will be able to direct people to Tinnitus UK’s independent resources, including information about tinnitus, practical management strategies, the charity’s free helpline and webchat, and its local support group finder.
Each Boots Hearingcare store has been provided with information about its nearest Tinnitus UK support group, or online support options where there is not an in-person group within 25 miles.
Independent support when people need it
Tinnitus UK’s role within the partnership remains focused on providing independent, evidence-based information, support, and reassurance.
The partnership does not mean that Tinnitus UK is recommending Boots Hearingcare, or endorsing any particular product, treatment or commercial service.
Boots Hearingcare operates its own tinnitus pathway, which includes hearing assessments, hearing aids and other paid-for services. Tinnitus UK will continue to provide impartial information to help people understand their options and make informed decisions about their own tinnitus care.
Tinnitus UK’s Partnerships Manager, Danny Knight, said:
“Tinnitus can be incredibly isolating, particularly in those early days when people are searching for answers and don’t know where to turn. Making sure people know that free, independent support is available is hugely important. This partnership gives us another opportunity to reach people at that critical point and connect them with the information, reassurance and community that Tinnitus UK provides.”
Finding support in your local community
For many people, connecting with others who understand tinnitus can be an important part of learning to live well with the condition.
Tinnitus UK runs support groups across the UK, alongside online communities and other free services. These provide opportunities for people to share experiences, learn from others and discover practical ways to manage tinnitus.
The charity’s support is available regardless of where someone has received their hearing care or whether they use any particular treatment or product.
If you are experiencing tinnitus, you can find trusted information, access support and search for your nearest group through the Tinnitus UK website.
