The Board of Trustees at Tinnitus UK are delighted to announce their new incoming CEO.  Alex Brooks-Johnson, a highly experienced voluntary sector leader, will be taking up the role of CEO from September 2024 joining from social care charity, Guild Care, where he has spent a successful five years.

Tinnitus UK has undergone significant changes in leadership in recent years. Alex’s appointment marks a crucial step towards achieving stability and setting a clear direction for the future.

Lynne Gillon, Chair of the Board of Trustees, commented: ‘Tinnitus UK has never been more relevant with a growing number of people being impacted by this dreadful condition.  One in seven people now live with tinnitus, some much better than others. We led a search to find the right leader to work with us, someone who can help guide the organisation to the next level’.

Lynne added: ‘We’re delighted that Alex is coming on board in September to help us shape our new plans as we look both to fund research and to provide more support to more people living with tinnitus’.

Alex said, ‘I am so pleased to have been selected as the new CEO for this amazing organisation, it is a real honour.  I have had tinnitus for 10 years and am committed to using my skills and experience to help provide a better future for those who, like me, have had to try and adapt to life with tinnitus’.
