Tinnitus UK expands local support network
Two new support groups are launching in Sheffield and Truro
We’re boosting local support for people living with tinnitus by launching two new support groups and committing to expand our network in 2025. Our new groups are in Truro, Cornwall, and Sheffield. With over 80 affiliated support groups across the UK and five online groups, including specialised ones for sound sensitivity and musicians, Tinnitus UK is here to connect you.
Peer support is vital—it connects those living with tinnitus to others who truly understand the condition because they experience it themselves. Many find that being part of a group reduces their feelings of isolation and they learn how others have managed their condition.
We’re dedicated to offering a range of services backed by the latest research to help you live well with tinnitus. Our free support offerings include a befriending service, telephone helpline, live webchat support, Axel the chatbot, Take on Tinnitus and a wealth of information on our extensive website. Plus, we host a very active online patient forum.
Alex Brooks-Johnson, CEO of Tinnitus UK, says, “No one should feel isolated because of their tinnitus diagnosis. We’re increasing local support groups so anyone with tinnitus can connect with someone nearby. We continually strive for a world without tinnitus.”
