This edition of Tinnitus Adviser Training will predominantly focus on clinical experiences in the public and charitable sector. If you work within the private sector, you may prefer our November edition.

Do you need to expand your tinnitus skills and knowledge to help a growing list of tinnitus patients?

Did you know that 90% of public sector hearing care professionals see tinnitus clients on a daily basis, but only 30% are confident providing care?

Tinnitus is one of the most common hearing complaints you will encounter, but most professionals have never received specialist training. So whether you want a quick refresher or are taking your first steps towards providing high-quality tinnitus services, Tinnitus Adviser Training is the perfect course for you.

This world-leading, cost-effective and accessible course will:

  • Give you the latest, most up-to-date tinnitus knowledge
  • Provide important counselling skills you can apply in practice
  • Offer you dedicated time with world-leading tinnitus experts and fellow professionals

With a person–centric perspective on the latest tinnitus care, Tinnitus Adviser Training is built on nearly 50 years of accumulated expertise by Tinnitus UK. Originally developed to rapidly upskill the experts on Tinnitus UK’s own helpline, it is now used by the NHS, charities, and a wide range of allied health professionals in the UK and beyond.

What makes Tinnitus Adviser Training different?

Tinnitus Adviser Training is the only course of its kind that offers you the independence and expertise of Tinnitus UK. That means you’re not just receiving training – you’re becoming part of a whole network of dedicated tinnitus professionals.

Delivered by an experienced team, led by a Chartered Counselling Psychologist and Registered Psychotherapist, this course provides useful insights for professionals operating partly or wholly in public sector and non-profit clinics, as well as allied healthcare settings.

On completing the course, you’ll receive a certificate to display proudly, showing your patients your commitment to their care.

What will I learn?

Tinnitus Adviser Training gives you the key knowledge and skills you need when you’re face-to-face with a tinnitus client, including:

  • Easy-to-understand explanations of tinnitus, its causes and treatments
  • Simple, effective counselling skills
  • Practical tips and advice for tinnitus management and client self-care

You’ll also practice your newly developed skills with other delegates in a friendly, professional environment, supported by experts, to prepare you for taking on tinnitus in the real world!
